Every year in January, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) takes place in the U.S. At this event, a group of global innovators comes together to showcase their new and groundbreaking technologies.

At the event, more than 3,200 exhibitors from 173 countries displayed futuristic products that could potentially be found in our homes, offices, living rooms, or kitchens. The inventions ranged from unconventional to practical, all aimed at advancing technology to broaden its applications.

It's exciting to see the new tech showcased at CES and people's love for gadgets. The global smart home household penetration was 14.2% in 2022, with projections predicting it will double to 28.8% by 2027.

This device has two cameras facing in different directions and can capture images both inside the car and on the road. It has a feature that allows you to communicate with people at home through two-way talk. Additionally, it can detect motion and sends alerts in real time.

AtmosGear Electronic Skates

AtmosGear revealed a new product at CES: electric inline roller skates. These skates are expected to be available for purchase and shipping in May 2023. They have the ability to reach a top speed of 25 km/H (15.5 MPH) and can be fully charged in approximately one hour. The skate is actually a motorized frame that can be connected to any roller boots.

Tilt Five Augmented Reality Glasses

Tilt Five has developed a new AR glasses system that can be used outside of video games and can connect to a computer device. These glasses are able to be used on both board games and video games.

Don’t Introduce Smart Tech Into Your Home without Security

Smart home technology can be incredibly convenient and allows you to monitor and control many aspects of your home, from lights and temperature to security systems. However, it is also important to make sure that all of these devices are secure before introducing them into your home. Smart devices should be properly configured with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, as well as be protected with up-to-date antivirus software. Additionally, all device manufacturers should be reliable and have security policies to protect your data.

Finally, it’s important to make sure that your home Wi-Fi network is secure. You should use a strong password and opt for WPA2 encryption to ensure that your data is kept safe from potential hackers.

In conclusion, introducing smart technology into your home can be incredibly useful, but it’s important that you also take steps to ensure it is secure. By investigating the security of any tech you are thinking of introducing into your home, keeping all your devices up to date, and making sure your Wi-Fi network is secure, you can keep your home and data safe.
